This headline is self explanatory. Don’t let these scam artists take advantage of you and your computer.
Everyone should know by now that a lot of them are claiming to be legitimate but they are one hundred percent false!
All they want to do is scare you into buying their misleading product.
Most notable, Personal Antivirus, Antivirus 2009, Computer Defender 2009, etc. There are many.
They pretend to be legit companies. Posing as your windows security center, advertising online, hijacking your browser, displaying false infections/viruses, that you do not even have.
Tempting you to download their product, so they can scare and manipulate you into purchasing the phony antivirus program.
Recently, my computer was hacked into. I got it back in good working order now. And I hope it stay that way.
Rarely, can I be tempted into downloading anything, especially if I am suspicious of it.
Even though I try to be careful, but some of these people are very clever. It’s like everyday, they try to come up with devious and malicious, new techniques to deceive unknowing users.
I owe my thanks to legit online communities like, Bleeping Computer.com and E-geniuses.com, and many others.
If you haven’t already be sure to check them out. They are online communities that provide very useful and helpful advice to PC users.
